Language Department
Oct-8 – Parents/Teachers Conference: Please join our annual Parents/Teachers conference to review your child’s academic progress and growth based on classroom observations, testing data, assessments, and assignments. This meeting lasting 10–20 minutes will also give parents the opportunity to share their child’s learning strengths, needs, behaviors, and learning styles so we can be better informed about our students.

Culture Department
New Chinese Calligraphy Class Offering Starting Oct-1!!! Using traditional brushes and paper, students will learn how to correctly hold and use a brush to transform everyday Chinese characters into beautiful works of art. Students will learn and practice basic brush strokes and characters in a relaxed atmosphere, allowing students to learn at their own pace.
If you have not already signed up and would like to register, or try out the class, please email culture@mfcsnj.org or principal@mfcsnj.org. You are also welcomed to stop by and speak directly with us about this new and exciting class.
Kung Fu Class Cancellation: Due to personal reasons, the Kung Fu teacher will not be able to hold classes for the rest of the year. The Kung Fu class was canceled, and students were reassigned to other cultural classes. If you have not yet transferred your child to another culture class please email us at culture@mfcsnj.org to discuss available class options. We will resume the Kung Fu classes for the 2023–2024 school year.

Reminders
Parents Snack Reminder: Please remember to send a snack and drink with your child to school each Saturday that they can eat and drink during break time between their Language and Culture classes. The PA department is looking into reinstating sales of snacks and drinks in the cafeteria. Please keep an eye out for further details.
Tuition Reminder: Tuition was due on the first day of school. If you have not already paid your tuition please stop by the Treasury Department desk on Saturday Sep-24 to avoid registration delays and additional fees.
MFCS Security:
For security reasons, we ask that parents remain behind in the cafeteria while teachers bring students to class. For those that have a special arrangement with the teacher to sit in the classroom, please stop by the security desk to obtain a visitor’s badge.
